Corporate Yoga Programme In Mid & West Wales

With BWY yoga teacher, George Watts

office yoga modules

Take a quick look below at some of the Corporate Yoga Modules that we can offer your employees.

Back Yoga Module

This module introduces employees to yoga exercises that help keep the back supple and strong. It is estimated that 4 out of 5 adults (80%) will experience back pain at some stage in their life. The stronger, healthier backs that result from a regular yoga practice will reduce the number of sick days and occurrences of absenteeism in your company.

Bonding & Bending Module

A fun sequence of partner based yoga poses that not only deliver the regular benefits of yoga, but also promote trust, communication and teamwork between individuals. This session regularly breaks down barriers and promotes dynamic and lively interaction.

Breathe To Achieve Module

In this module we  harness the power of the breath, showing how simple pranayama exercises can energise the body while promoting profound peace of the mind. Knowing how to control and deepen breathing enables employees to manage stressful or pressured work situations easily and effectively.

Desk Yoga Module

Nearly all employees spend far too much time hunched over computers, yet the body was never designed to sit in “computer pose” for 8 hours a day. This module conducted your largely in chairs will give employees some invaluable ways to practice yoga without getting out of their chairs. The exercises don’t demand much time, and can be done in spurts throughout the day.

Laugher Yoga Module

A study conducted jointly by the Philadelphia-based Jefferson Medical College and Yoga Research Society, found that practitioners experienced a significant drop in cortisol levels after a single yoga class.  High cortisol levels are characteristics of stress and depression.

Mat-less Module

With this module, your employees will discover how to take yoga outside of class to improve their health and happiness. Employees will be given real life examples of applying yoga to everyday life. They’ll raise their awareness of foods to eat (and what not to eat) to keep energy levels up.

One Pointed Focus Module

One of the keys to sustaining peak performance at work is practicing the fine art of single-pointedness. As soon as the mind is disturbed with more than one clear outcome, it loses power.   Being able to focus on the job at hand is what employees will learn during this module. The module will include: drishti (focused gaze), mudras and meditation.

Sun Salutations Module

With this module, your employees will learn how to practice Sun Salutations. This sequence stretches and strengthens all the muscles in the body.

The Way Of The Peaceful Warrior Module

A dynamic sequence of energising yoga poses incorporating Warrior I, II, III poses to liberate untapped sources of energy, leadership and confidence within your employees. This module will help employees to become peace-filled office warriors. Yoga doesn’t remove the “aggression” needed for success in the marketplace; the best warriors (employees) stride into battle in a calm, centred state of mind.

Yin Yoga Module

Yin Yoga is a meditative approach to yoga with a physical focus far deeper than a traditional “yang” yoga practice. The pace is slow and postures are held for longer periods of time (five minutes per pose). Yin Yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues (tendons, fascia, ligaments) with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Helps to improve the flow of QI, the subtle energy said in Chinese medicine to run through the meridian pathways of the body. Improved flow of QI helps improve organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being.

Benefits Of A Corporate Yoga Program

Focused
Practicing yoga trains people in the fine art of single-pointedness, thereby boosting mental concentration and focus.

Creative
A study conducted by Eric Hoffman, Ph.D. that measured brain waves before and after a two-hour Kriya Yoga class found that alpha waves (relaxation) and theta waves (unconscious memory, dreams, emotions) increased by 40 percent. This means the brain is more deeply relaxed after yoga and the subjects have better contact with their subconscious and emotions. The Scandinavian study is significant for office workers because after the yoga session, alpha waves increased in the right temporal lobe.  That means more creativity and better ability to problem solve.

Happy
Practicing yoga transforms apathy and anxiety by oxygenating the brain and increasing the level of endorphins in the bloodstream.  Happier employees are more productive and will stay with your company for longer. Happier employees always leads to increased staff retention and less absenteeism.

Team Player
Practicing yoga together is an effective way to build better communication and trust between members of a team.
