Yoga Teacher Marketing Tips
Ask Students To Post About Your Class On Their Facebook

Here’s a quick yoga marketing tip from the Yoga Teacher Business Kit.

I recently received this email from a yoga teacher who purchased my Yoga Teacher Business Kit

“In my local Sainsburys where I get petrol, they give me voucher for £3.00 when I purchase goods to the value of £20.  Now they get my business because I like 10% off my bill.  I have been trying to think of a way that I could do the same or something similar in my yoga business but nothing seems to gell at the moment.  Any ideas?”

“I’ve discovered there’s no right or wrong way to market your yoga business. There are over 100 yoga marketing tactics  in the Yoga Teacher Business Kit.  Most of them are free to implement and will only take a few minutes of your time.  So get stuck in until you find one that works.  When you do find a ‘keeper’ (a marketing tactic that works), keep on doing it over and over and over and over and over again.”

Strategy
Ask Students To Post About Your Class On their Facebook

The latest tactic I’ve been testing out is sending an email to my current and past yoga students, asking them to send a message on their Facebook Wall.  I give them a script which they can edit.

Something like this…

“My yoga teacher, George, is giving away free yoga classes on Monday September 3rd.  So, if you’re interested in coming to a yoga class, join me next Monday at the Powys Dance Centre in Llandrindod Wells.  We start at 7pm and finish at 8:30pm.   And if you bring a friend, they get the class for free as well.”

Just bare in mind that marketing for any business is an ongoing and mysterious thing.  You never know what’s going to work until you give it go.

That means you need to get used to failing your way to a full yoga class.   You may need to try 23 marketing tactics until you hit on one that works like a charm.  When you do stumble across the yoga marketing tactic that works, keep on doing it until it stops working.   That might sound blindingly obvious, but 90% of business owners don’t do it.   How do I know this?  Well, I was a business consultant for 10 years before becoming a yoga teacher.
