A rotating plough cuts soil to prepare it for burying seeds that will turn into food (e.g. wheat, oats, barley, rye, corn). Let's prepare the soil for a really amazing seed called "gratitude" (or use another analogy such as: kindness, patience, love). Lying all the way down on your back, bring your legs up and lift them higher by using your hands behind your back. Let your toes come down over the top of your head, and extend your arms out behind your head. Interlock your fingers. Well done! You're a plough. Wiggle your toes to cut the soil. Now imagine adding your "patience seed" and covering it with soil (you could bring a pot filled with earth and give a seed to each child and ask them to cut through the soil with their finger and plant their "gratitude seed". Use real seeds and bring the pot to class each week for them to see their seeds growing).
