Lie comfortably on your back. Close eyes. Visualise a sparrow chick holding tight onto a branch. Its first flight is looming. The chick is nudged to the edge of the nest by its mother. It looks over the edge, lets go of the branch and jump. It plunges out of control, until miraculously, flapping its wings, it begins to soar. The chick gives a squawk of joy knowing it took courage to take the leap. What branch do you need to let go of? Detachment brings freedom. Freedom brings happiness.
Calming.
Knees up. Blanket under knees and head.
