Pip and Squeak woke up one morning. Like good mice they did their FEET STRETCHING EXERCISE (point and flex, point and flex, out and in, out and in, up-down, up-down) Stop! They looked through the window to see what sort of day it was. They could see the most amazing big golden ball sitting at the top of the mountain. Pip says: "I want to play with the golden ball", and Squeak replies: "Let's run to the top of the mountain and play with it". They open up the mouse door and off they run. MOUNTAIN POSE WITH ARMS PUMPING UP AND DOWN. Run, run run. SQUAT JUMPS: Skippety-hop. Skippety hop. Jump. Jump. Jump. Stop! MOUNTAIN POSE. They have reached the foot of the mountain. The mountain has been there for a long time. It stands very big, very still, and very solid. It doesn't move. STANDING STRETCH POSE: Pip and Squeak look up at the mountain and see the golden ball up there. It's looking even brighter than before. FORWARD BEND: Pip says: "I'll race you to the top of the mountain" and gets into position! RUNNER POSE: Pip and Squeak get ready to race to the top. On your marks get set, go. FLOWING RUNNER POSE (constantly switching from one leg forward to the other leg forward). They climb higher and higher. Pip in front and then Squeak overtaking. Pip catching up and then they both suddenly stop. PLANK POSE: stretched out in front of them is a sleeping snake. It's a big, long, hungry King Cobra! COBRA POSE: King Cobra starts to wake up and raises his head. Pip and Squeal don't want to be the snake's dinner so they come up with a plan. Let's dig a tunnel. They dig, dig, dig, dig and dig to make a tunnel. DOWN DOG POSE: The tunnel goes all the way past King Cobra and they come out safely on the other side. RUNNER POSE: There's no sign of King Cobra. They are nearly at the top of the mountain so they climb the last bit, running as fast as they can (FLOWING RUNNER POSE). When they finally reach the top, they see the golden ball has moved up into the sky. STANDING STRETCH POSE: They reach and jump but it's no good. It's too high up! TREE POSE: They look around and see a tall tree nearby. They climb up hoping they can reach it from there, but still the golden ball is still out of reach. Then Squeak notices they are not alone in the tree. There is a big bird with a big beak. She looks really strong. Maybe she can take them to the golden ball. EAGLE POSE: Quietly Pip and Squeak climb on the eagle's back and the eagle soars into the sky. The golden ball is brighter than ever but it still seems to be further away. Eventually, the eagle turns and soars back to the mountain (MOUNTAIN POSE). STAFF POSE: Pip and Squeak sit back on the soft green grass and gaze up at the golden ball. At first, they feel a little sad because they couldn't reach it but then Pip notices something. "I can feel something warm, and tingly on me. I think it's coming from the golden ball in the sky?" "Wow!" says Squeak, suddenly realizing that it's the sun (STAR POSE: Standing with legs wide, arms up and looking up at the ceiling). They don't need to try and reach it, because the sun will always reach you no matter where you are. Contented and happy, they snuggle down to rest (CHILD POSE) after their big adventure.
