.
Hi, my name is George Watts.
I’m a British Wheel Of Yoga teacher and creator of the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit.
Since 2009 hundreds of yoga teachers from all over the world are using this Kit to create yoga lesson plans in under 15 minutes. So, instead of me telling you how good it is, I’m going to leave that up to them. They can explain in their own words how the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit has benefited them.
OK, let’s get going.
Here’s the first review…
.
Patty Browning Thinks The Kit Is A Treasure Trove Of Lesson Plans, Resources, Creative Artwork And Media For Yoga Teachers & Their Yoga Students
Patty is a Yoga Teacher from San Angelo, TX
https://twitter.com/PattyB69
‘George Watts’ Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit is amazing; an absolute time-saver! His Lesson Plans Kit is a treasure trove of lesson plans, resources, creative artwork, and media for yoga teachers and their yoga students. George provides step-by-step videos that demonstrate HOW to easily develop a yoga lesson plan in less than 15 minutes with no real thinking involved! George has thought it all out for you while allowing flexibility to make each lesson your very own. GENIUS! George Watts has a gift for TEACHING and the yoga industry is fortunate to have his talent and creativity on its side. Yoga teachers will not be disappointed with this purchase; it is definitely worth the financial investment.
Thanks Patty.
It’s taken me well over a 1000 hours of my life to manifest this Kit into reality.
You could say it’s my magnum opus. Some people’s magnum opus is engineering a revolutionary bridge across a hostile river; mine just happens to be creating “a treasure trove of lesson plans, resources, creative artwork, and media for yoga teachers and their yoga students“ (as Patty Browning said in her review above far better than I could have done myself).
Here’s another review for you…

Stewart Jones Thinks The Kit Is Extremely Inspiring
Stewart is a Yoga Teacher from Durham, UK
http://durhamyoga.wordpress.com
The Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit is an extremely inspiring piece of work. Whether you want to enhance your way of preparing your lessons, or need to find new ways of delivering your service to your students then The Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit will support you with this aspiration. Thanks for sharing your insights with others George.
Thanks Stewart.
Before reading anymore, you ought to know about my
“dirty little secret“…

My dirty little secret
I’m really quite ashamed about it, but feel a compelling urge to come clean and tell you what it is.
You see, when I first started teaching yoga, I was…well, I was taking approximately…… 7 hours to create one yoga lesson plan.
I know. I know. How could I do such a thing?
I’m fully aware of the horribleness of it. After all, that’s over 160 hours a year of my precious life being sucked into the yoga lesson planning hole of doom. And believe me, all that planning was a real pain in the piriformis (hope you’ve remembered your anatomy and physiology)….
After over a year of my lesson planning woes, it dawned on me that the planning had become pressured, stressful and a whoppingly large energy leak in my life. I simply had to find a way to lessen the stress of lesson planning or burn out, stop teaching yoga and do something bone chillingly dull such as give businesses advice about their marketing (umm, which was my job before becoming a yoga teacher).
So, I set out on an epic mission to create a yoga lesson planning system that would shave 6.45 hours off the current 7 painful hours it was taking me to complete a lesson plan.
You may laugh at the perfectionist streak that was causing me to spend an average of 7 hours of my life energy on something as seemingly simple as a yoga lesson plan. But. And it’s a big BUT…before laughing at me too heartily, here’s my challenge to you. Time yourself planning your next class!
You’ll be shocked.
I was.
And the hundreds of yoga teachers worldwide who have already got their yogic hands on the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit were also shocked.
Start timing how long it takes you to plan a yoga class and come back here…
If you’re like 90% of yoga teachers, and like I used to be…
.
Here’s What a Typical Yoga Lesson Planning
Session May Look Like For You…
.
You wake up with an immediate feeling of dread in the pit of your stomach.
You pour yourself a cup of herbal tea.
You mess about for a while with lots of distractions because you really don’t want to face the inevitable. That is sitting on a well worn chair for hours in front of a computer trying to write a lesson plan. You thumb desperately through your dog-eared yoga bible book, wishing you were outside doing something fun.

Thumb desperately through your dog-eared yoga bible book.
You then you seek salvation by flicking through 15 year old, musty-smelling yoga and health magazines…

Flicking through 15 year old, musty-smelling yoga and health magazines
…then your waning attention drifts back to the computer and you frantically attempt desperate searches on Google (or what I call Yogle) such as ‘yoga lesson plan themes’.
All that sitting and pressure is forming pulsating knots in your shoulders and neck. In the end you go with what you’ve got because you can’t bear to think about it any more.
And alas, you go with a mediocre yoga lesson plan. Deep down you know your students deserve better…and that there must be a better way.
But you can’t bear to think about it anymore.

Doing desperate searches on Google such as ‘yoga lesson plan themes’
.
And before you know it, you end up in the dreaded yoga lesson planning hole of doom.

Yoga Lesson Planning Hole Of Doom
.
But you don’t have to stay in the yoga lesson planning hole of doom!
If you use the 15 Minute Yoga Lesson Planner (which is included within The Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit), you’ll be able to create amazing yoga lesson plans in under 15 minutes.
.
This Is How You Could Be Creating
A Yoga Lesson Plan If You Use
The 15 Minute Yoga Lesson Planner
Included Within The
Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit…
.
You wake up feeling bright and cheery.
You pour yourself a tasty cup of herbal tea.
You stroll across to your desk and spend 15 peaceful and productive minutes in front of the computer creating a detailed and well structured lesson plan.

15 peaceful and productive minutes in front of the computer creating a detailed and well structured lesson plan
Because you only spent 15 minutes creating your yoga lesson plan, you now have time to go for a long walk, do your personal yoga practice, or maybe even do a bit of yoga marketing to make sure your yoga classes are full up.

Because you only spent 15 minutes creating your yoga lesson plan, you now have time to go for a long walk
You reminisce about a time when you didn’t have a yoga lesson planning tool in your yoga teacher tool-bag and start to smile, safe in the knowledge that you’ve got your hands on the number one dream tool for yoga teachers.
You think of all the time and stress you’ve saved yourself. A bunch of analogies start popping into your head.
- You see a gardener with their number one tool | a Lawn Mower
- You see a doctor with their number one tool | a Stethoscope
- You see a plumber with their number one tool | a Plumbing Thingummyjig
- You see a yoga teacher with their number one tool | a Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit

You reminisce about a time when you didn’t have a yoga lesson planning tool in your yoga teacher tool-bag and start to smile
.
Ahh yes, life is good.
You print the yoga lesson plan, take it to class, put it in front of your mat and have a stress free, enjoyable time teaching.

The Yoga Teacher Lesson plan Kit & The Yoga Studio Kit are wonderful resources for the experienced Yoga Teachers as well as new Yoga students working on their Teacher’s Certification.
There is so much vital information! It really blew my mind how much there was! I have started my Yoga business plan a few different times and never finished it because it is too time consuming!
Thanks to George and his marvelous Yoga kits we can get things organized in a much better and faster way. It’s like having a universal “cheat sheet” for your Yoga Studio that nobody else knows about but you. I loved the first kit so much I bought another kit! I would highly recommend them all!

The Following Must Have Features…
.
Yoga Lesson Plan Template Feature #1
Aims and Objectives Sheet
Writing your Aims & Objectives for each lesson will give you amazing clarity and confidence. Click here to see a video of me talking about Aims & Objectives.
Benefits of having Aims & Objectives…
- Share them with your students.
- Aims indicate the overall goals of the yoga session.
- Aims state what the yoga class/course will try to provide.
- Aims give us a path to follow and a destination to hit.
- Aims help your students become better students.
- Aims explain your intentions to your students.
- Aims help keep students coming back to your class.
- Aims enable teachers to be aware of student progress.
- Objectives increase clarity.
- Objectives help to keep track of learning outcomes for your students.
- Objectives contribute to the achievement of the larger goals.
- Objectives give your yoga class a clearly defined target.
- Objectives keep yoga teachers inspired to teach.
.
Yoga Lesson Plan Template Feature #2
Yoga Class Handout
Why not share the yoga lesson plan with your students as a yoga class handout?
Benefits of giving your lesson plan as a class handout include…
- Students love class handouts. I mean, come on, who doesn’t like a freebie?
- It instantly shows you have gone above and beyond for your students
- It’s a powerful referral tool if you include a list of your yoga services
.
Yoga Lesson Plan Template Feature #3
Time Considerations
The time consideration column allows you to keep track of your progress when teaching a yoga class. Believe me when I say this…the “time awareness” you have by using the time consideration column takes away a whole lot of stress! .
.
Yoga Lesson Plan Template Feature #4
Personal Teacher Notes
There’s even a space for you to write your own personal teacher notes.
This is optional!
Everything you could possibly need to create a yoga lesson plan is already done for you. All you need to do is ‘copy and paste’ to create a lesson plan. You may, however, like to add personal notes about how the class went and how to improve the next class.
.
.
Giving your students an important part of your class to take home is a brilliant strategy for enticing students back to your classes.
The most important marketing strategy for your yoga business is to keep your students coming to your classes for longer. That’s why I view class handouts as the most powerful yoga marketing tactic for yoga teachers!
With over 201 Yoga Class Handouts, you will save countless hours of time and WOW your students. Students love handouts. We all like to receive unexpected gifts. It makes us feel a bit special.

Sarah Rush Likes Creating Lesson Plans Almost Instantly.
Sara is a Yoga Teacher from London
www.yogaalliance.co.uk
I am enjoying integrating the (George Watts) Yoga Teacher’s Lesson Plan Kit tools into my teaching & development – it saves time & delivers value. The ease and simplicity of the copy and paste asanas creates lesson plans almost instantly and the additional ongoing yoga resources – makes this an outstanding package.
The quickest and simplest way to become better at any subject, including teaching yoga, is listening to experts. Listen and become aware of what makes them great teachers. Then do the same or similar things while still keeping your own personality. Isn’t that simple? Well, you’re going to love this bonus!
Within the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit you will receive over 100 hours of yoga teachers teaching their classes. They are NOT teaching to a TV camera. They are teaching their classes live and unplugged.
Listening to ‘real live yoga teachers’ teaching live classes will take you far, far deeper into the learning process than watching a yoga guru on TV.
By listening to audios you will be tapping into your subconscious and absorbing great ‘yoga teaching tips’ into your brain effortlessly.
You have several ways to listen.
You can…
- Go online, click a button and listen on your computer..
- Download and put on your iPhone/iPod or other MP3 player....
- Add audios to the playlist on your other devices (e.g. Google Reader).

You probably already know that IMAGERY, using vivid words that evoke pictures to spring into your students’ minds, is all the buzz in yoga teacher circles. And for good reason! It makes the classes more fun and memorable. You’ll receive 101 yoga imagery phrases that you can use in your classes.

You can give this New Yoga Student Questionnaire to all your new new students. It’s tried and tested and asks all the important health questions required by insurance companies.

Give this questionnaire to your students twice a year.
It will quickly become one of your most valued document as it highlights what your students want more of in your class. For example during my last evaluation I discovered a large amount of students really enjoyed the classes where I had pushed them hard. This really surprised me. I used to feel guilty when I pushed my students to their edges. Now I don’t!
The moral of the story is never assume you know what your class wants more or less of. They just might surprise you, but unless you ask them (by using this form), you’ll never know.
With this bonus you get my “Yoga Stick Figure Kit”. It’s the largest collection of premium quality yoga stick figures in the world.
Click here for more info about the Yoga Stick Figure Kit.

The 10 Week Lesson Planner Template includes a section for…
- Weeks
- Aims
- Objectives
- Teaching Methods
- Resources
- Assessment & Evaluation
Taking a few hours planning a 10 Week Course will give you instant peace of mind, clarity and confidence.
I give my 10 Week Lesson Planner as a handout to all my new students. It’s like a magic wand. It’s turned out to be one of the most effective marketing tools I’ve ever used. Here’s why….
Before using my 10 Week Lesson Planner as a handout, the average student would come to my classes for 5 weeks. Now, armed with my 10 Week Lesson Planner, the average student stays for well over 20 weeks! When I realised this statistic, I was amazed and asked myself this question…
“Why was there such a dramatic change?”
The answers I came up with were…
- The 10 Week Lesson Planner showed I was professional.
- The 10 Week Lesson Planner showed I went to a lot of effort.
- The 10 Week Lesson Planner assumed the sale.
Ask any successful sales person their #1 tip, and 99% of them will say, “Assume the sale“.
That means the sales person assumes they’ll make the sale before they even visit the prospect. The 10 Week Lesson Planner Handout assumes your students will be staying with you for at least 10 weeks. When those 10 weeks are up, you give them another 10 Week Lesson Planner, and when those 10 weeks are up….(well, you get the gist).
.
You’ll also receive a series of short, easy to follow yoga lesson planning tutorials.
Tutorials include:
- How To Use The 15 Minute Yoga Lesson Planner
- Lesson Plan Creation
- Lesson Planning Tips
- How To Adjust Students
- How To Draw Yoga Stick Men Like A Pro

A Simple System That Lets You
Create Pregnancy Yoga Lesson Plans
(for Trimester 1, 2, 3)
In Under 15 Minutes
The Pregnancy Yoga Planner is an ADD-ON MODULE to the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit. That means you can add over 100 pregnancy yoga poses to your yoga lesson plans with a click of a button.
For years I had been teaching yoga to pregnant students on a one to one basis. I don’t know about you, but I used to spend hours and hours and hours researching pregnancy yoga before each client arrived. It was exhausting.
The reason for my diligence is because…
I didn’t want to risk the health of the baby by giving the mother-to-be inappropriate yoga postures and breathing exercises. So, I spent several months creating The Pregnancy Yoga Planner.
The Pregnancy Yoga Lesson Planner includes…
- Written asana teaching tips for 90 pregnancy yoga poses
- Clear definition of which trimester the asana is recommended for
- Clear definition of which poses to avoid
- Specific benefits of each asana
- Eye catching stick figure of each asana
- Link to a short video tutorial giving useful teaching tips
- Modifications for each asana
- Precautions for each asana
Here’s the table of contents (just in case you want to know exactly what’s included)

Jo Chadwick Had A Lot Of Fun
Going Through All The Resources.
Jo is a Yoga Teacher from Taunton, UK
www.thebodyguide.co.uk
I am having such fun going through all the resources in the lesson planning kit! Already have decided to do a 10 week plan and issue it to the kids next term. Had already decided to do something on the koshas so it’ll be fun getting it ready….and won’t take anything like the time!!! I love all the different bits. I love the tips, the meditation bits and all the posture bits. Well, all of it. It pulls together so many ideas that float around in my brain, my computer, my office, my classroom and elsewhere! You will laugh: because I am so sad and need to read things on paper to really sort of “get” them, I printed it all off to sit on the sofa and read and get familiar with. Well, I went through a lot of paper (oh dear, I hear you cringing ecologically, I’m kind of sorry I did it too in a way)…and it’s a good thing my husband’s away as I’ll have time to replace the paper, replace the ink cartridge etc. But I can now appreciate what I’ve got and start thinking about what I’m going to do. I am trying to get more computer minded (I mean I use it all the time at school for various things) and have already played the video about how to do a lesson plan, which doesn’t look difficult at all. And I’ve been cobbling together my own one from copying and pasting from grids I’ve done in the past with modifications etc though it is very thin compared with all this – but I think I’ll get used to the copying etc easily. Have a lovely Christmas…and keep up all the wonderful work. And I hope you have time for a game of golf!

Ilkay Ozcan Really Benefited
From The Lesson Plan Kit.
IIkay is a Yoga Teacher from Essex, UK
I really did benefit from your Lesson Plan kit. Firstly I used the “personal folders” idea. Obviously I used my own picture, but used your design. My students really loved it. Secondly I used the themes you suggested on your Lesson Plan Kit, and did a 9 Week Lesson Plan (up to Xmas), and included this in the Folder as well. Thirdly I am going to use your Halloween idea as having fun this coming lesson. I love your creativity and it inspires me to be more creative myself. There is only one “criticism” – there is too much in it (joke!). There is a lot of work in it and thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with us. Wish you all the best – hoping that you will produce more.

Julie Morris Says The Yoga Teacher Lesson
Plan Kit Is Money Well Spent
Julie is a Yoga Teacher from West Yorkshire, UK
The Lesson plan kit has been a great investment to me. Not only is it jam packed full of tips, useful handouts, and ideas it is user friendly (even if your not a whizz on the computer – like me!) and it saves a great deal of time in the planning dept! When I first started teaching I really struggled with lesson planning. It took me ages and gave me a headache! But this kit saved me time, gave me new ideas and really helped boost my confidence to walk into a class with a professional looking plan. You can continually add new plans and it saves you having bits of plans/ideas written all over the place. I use it every week to create my plans whether I am teaching regular hatha, pregnancy, seniors or private clients. Money well spent!
.
Eryn Kirkwood Thinks It’s A Phenomenal Deal
Eryn is a Yoga Teacher from Ontario, Canada
www.ErynsYoga.com
Given all the apps we have available these days, I was skeptical about the seemingly steep price of another gimmicky ‘kit,’ but I have to say, this package is far beyond any Teacher resource I have ever come across, truly. Where to begin? Well, George provides over two thousand yoga stick figures for creating your own class sequences, and just as many yoga templates and handouts for students. This component of the kit alone comprises over 65 PAGES of information on how to modify postures for all levels of experience, in addition to contraindications and precautions. Lesson Plans for Power Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Beginner’s Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kid’s Yoga, Templates, and Handouts are all included in this phenomenal deal.
.
FAQ
.
“Are there class plans for different levels ie: beginner to advanced?”
There are currently 13 class plan templates and they are ideal for both beginner and advanced students. All my classes have beginner and advanced students. That means I had to find a system that allowed me to use one lesson plan to cater for beginners and advanced students. So, I recommend this tactic for creating flexible yoga lesson plans that cater to beginners/advanced students.
When you’re in class, look at the modifications and alternative section of the lesson plan. And simply give an alternative pose to the advanced student and a modification for the beginner student. Easy, eh? This will allow you to effortlessly turn the same lesson plan into a beginners and advanced class.
“Is the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit compatible with Macs?”
Yes.
“Can I call you to ask a few questions about the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit?”
Yes. I love chatting to my fellow yoga teachers. So, please call me (George Watts) on 01982 552515 or email me at mail@georgewatts.org.
“Why are you giving away so much for so little?”
This is going to sound real cheesy…but here goes. I want to keep it affordable for my fellow yoga teachers.
“Why is the Yoga Teacher Lesson Plan Kit not on CD anymore?”
I’ve decided to put the full contents online because it lowers my carbon footprint as there is no product to produce, package or post. You can still purchase the CD version from Amazon by clicking here. Just bare in mind the CD version doesn’t have any of the bonuses.
“Are you able to change the wording on the Yoga Lesson Plan Templates with your own phrases and explanations?”
Yes.
“With the 15 Minute Yoga Lesson Planner are you able to save it on your own drive?”
Yes.
