The Yoga Golf Experiment

Since 2009, when I became a yoga teacher, I’ve been secretely applying yoga techniques into my golf game. Now, 12 years on from my University Golf days in Texas, I’m turning professional at the age of 36.

In 2012 I will be playing 10 to 15 events on the Jamega Tour.

Enjoy playing golf (after so many years away from the game)
Apply yoga to my golf (stretching, breathing, mantras, etc)

George Watts Bio

Won the county junior and county youths Shropshire & Herefordshire championships as a junior
Scratch golfer at 16
Went to Texas Wesleyan University (on a golf scholarship) in 1995
Graduated with a business degree in 1999 (packed my golf bag away until 2011)
Climbed the corporate ladder (in the USA)
Became a marketing consultant in 2004
Became a yoga teacher in 2009

Playing professional golf is expensive! One event (including entrance fee, travel expenses, accomodation, food, etc) costs approximately £500. So, I’ve had to come up with creative ways of saving money to play 10 to 15 events.
